Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club Announces $15,000 Grant: Funding Aims to Benefit Local Charities
The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club (DGJWC) will be awarding one or more grants totaling $15,000 in support of local charity projects. Non-profit organizations throughout DuPage County and surrounding counties are encouraged to apply.
The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club is honored to support deserving charities that share our mission to give back to the community. The grant application is open now through Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The online grant application can be found here. Eligibility requirements are as follows:
Non-profit status under the Internal Revenue Service code
Organization must demonstrate sound responsible financial policies and management
Organization must act locally and grant must support a local project/initiative (within DuPage County & surrounding Counties)
The grant must support a project that provides a service not readily available elsewhere
The grant addresses a significant funding gap or critical opportunity for which fundraising dollars can provide the greatest long-term impact with measurable results
Applicants will be judged on a variety of criteria, including how the opportunity connects to the mission of the Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club: Service towards women, children and/or families in need within the community. Other considerations include, but are not limited to, the applicant organization’s ability to partner with the Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club on potential hands-on projects, the location of the organization, the longevity of the organization, and testimonial(s) from clients or beneficiaries of the organization’s service efforts.
Finalists will be selected and asked to present at the DGJWC General Meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The grant(s) will be awarded at the General Meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 2024.
