On behalf of the Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club, we would like to sincerely thank you for your generous support during our 2019-2020 year of giving. We know that this has been an extremely challenging year for our community partners, and we want to do everything we can to support you. We are proud to share with you our 2019-2020 community giving and service achievement highlights:
$20,000 distributed to local in-need organizations
$12,500 D99 senior scholarships awarded
$10,000 donated to our charity partner Reclaim13
$5,000 worth of holiday presents donated to local D58 families in-need
$4,200 children’s play area donated to Downers Grove Public Library
$2,800 D58 & D99 teach grants awarded
$1,500 donated for 2 Kingsley Buddy Benches
Over 100+ service hours for Safety Town training for 140 local children
Provided schools supplies for 228 DuPage children in-need
Volunteered 50+ hours at monthly PADS setup
Donated hundreds of personal goods, children’s winter gear, cleaning supplies to I Support the Girls, West Suburban Community Pantry and Sharing Connections
Volunteered 40+ service hours to Feed My Starving Children
As a direct result of your community partnership, we were able to raise over $51,000 for the Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club Charity Fund. These critical funds will allow us to continue to provide unwavering support for the most vulnerable and under-represented in these trying times. We are so grateful for the opportunity to come together and provide hope where hope has been lost. Thank you for being a part of our village. We could not do what we do without you.
