Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club Announces Fall And Spring Virtual Handmade Market Shows
DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS - The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club (DGJWC) announced today, that following the success of this past spring’s Virtual Handmade Market, they will be holding two more virtual events this fall and next spring.
The DGJWC hosted their first virtual Handmade Market show in April 2020 and had over 3,800 website visitors. The transition was made last minute from in-person to virtual due to COVID-19. Cathy Lykins, Co-Chair of the DGJWC Handmade Market said, “We had to quickly pivot from an in-person show to a virtual event in April and were so happy with the success.”
“We’re extremely excited to add two more opportunities to support our local artisans by introducing a Fall 2020 and a Spring 2021 show,” Lykins said. “The beauty of a Virtual Handmade Market is that anyone, anywhere can browse and buy all weekend long!”
Elaine Blair, Co-chair of the DGJWC Handmade Market added, “Although I miss shopping at in-person craft shows, I also love shopping from my couch!” She continued, “I am looking forward to seeing and purchasing the beautiful handmade products that will be showcased in both virtual events.”
Both Handmade Market events will feature 60+ artisans showcasing quality, handmade items ranging from clothing, accessories, home décor, apothecary, artisan foods, specialty items and more.
The virtual event will take place this fall on Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd, 2020. They will also hold another event next spring on Saturday, April 24th and Sunday, April 25th, 2021. All event days will begin at 9:00AM and conclude at 8:00PM. Application fee is $15 per show or $25 for both.
